“Glue Plus Exterior” mortar

Cementitious adhesive for laying ceramic tiles on floors and interior wall coverings, and on exterior floors. Medium-to-high absorption (>3%). For formats larger than 30×30 cm (900 cm²) the double-glue technique must be used. Its properties are: high adhesion, good thixotropy and easy application. Water-resistant, specially designed for pool tiling. Coverage: 3–4 kg/m² for single-layer bonding and 6–8 kg/m² for double bonding.

Instructions

The substrates must be conventional, rendered and cement mortar-floored. They must be strong, fully hardened and free of dust, oils, paints, etc.

1| Achieve perfect homogenisation with approximately 5 litres of water per bag using a mortar mixer until all lumps are eliminated.

2| Leave the paste to rest for 5 minutes and then mix again.

3| Apply the paste with a notched trowel in patches no larger than 2m². If necessary, comb the back of the piece as well.

4| Place the pieces onto the fresh paste, pressing slightly until full contact is achieved across the entire surface.

5| Leave a joint of at least 1.5 mm for internal joints and 5 mm for external joints.

6| Provide movement joints every 50 m² (small formats) and 30 m² (large formats). Observe the building’s perimeter and structural joints.

Precautions

Do not apply at temperatures below 5 °C or above 35 °C. In adverse climatic conditions (strong winds and high temperatures) the adhesive dries more quickly than normal, reducing its open time. Periodically check that no surface film forms on the applied adhesive. In this case, the product will need to be re-combed or re-applied. Do not add any additional products that could alter the original contents of the container. Avoid direct contact with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse the affected areas with plenty of water.

Storage

The product is supplied in 25 kg paper bags, shrink-wrapped on pallets of 32 bags (800 kg). Maximum storage time: 1 year in a fully sealed bag protected from humidity. The disposal of the product and its packaging must be carried out in accordance with current legislation and is the responsibility of the end user.
