Instructions
Substrates must be conventional, rendered and cement mortar-floored. They must be robust, fully hardened and free from dust, oils and paint. On laminated plasterboard substrates, ensure they are rigid and incapable of movement. Otherwise, use a flexible adhesive mortar from ARENES BELLPUIG SL.
1| Achieve a perfectly homogeneous mixture using approximately 7-7.5 litres of water per bag with a mortar mixer until all lumps are eliminated.
2| Leave the paste to rest for 5 minutes and then mix again.
3| Apply the mortar with a notched trowel in patches no larger than 2m². For tiles 30 x 30 cm or larger, use the double-layering technique.
4| Place the tiles onto the fresh mortar, pressing slightly until full contact is achieved across the entire surface.
5| Leave a joint of at least 1.5 mm indoors and 5 mm outdoors.
6| Provide expansion joints every 50 m² (small formats) and 30 m² (large formats). Observe the building’s perimeter and structural joints.
